Rachel Altabas

Rachel Altabas grew up in the Tarn region of France, on the doorstep of Spain; a region whose colours, architecture and ornament, left a lasting imprint, from Picasso to Gaudí. Trained in applied arts in Toulouse and then at the École Duperré in Paris, she went on to specialise in colour and textile design at the House of Christian Dior Couture.

Since opening her own studio in 2015, she has built a rich network of collaborations in fashion and interiors .Her work weaves together the figurative and the abstract, lush vegetal ornament and bold geometric polychromy. Everything is made by hand: paint, pencil, ink, pastels, screen printing. For Bien Fait landscapes that exist nowhere — and that you cannot help wanting to live inside.
