Christiane Gautrot and Desmond Knox-Leet, two of diptyque’s founders, often collaborated on future illustrations and pattern designs. This creation, painted in gouache, was imagined for furniture fabrics to be sold at the flagship boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain.
It perfectly represents the geometric-abstraction movement that was so popular with avant-garde artists at the beginning of the XXth Century.
