Here is the reinterpretation of the Brand’s Pretorien pattern, designed in 1963 by Christiane Gautrot and Desmond Knox-Leet, two of diptyque’s founders. Originally printed on furniture fabric sold at diptyque’s flagship boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain, today it is part of the permanent collection at the Paris Museum of Decorative Arts. An iconic pattern cherished both for its use of the famous diptyque Oval and its harmony between pattern and shape, the original was inspired by the shields of Ancient Rome’s Pretorien Guard. Faithful to the original, it has been reproduced here in the exact same size and original color scheme.
Designed to blend splendidly with other patterns from diptyque’s collection of wall decors.
